Face modeling nasal reconstruction
DESCRYPTION :
Change the shape and size of the nose to fit the rest of the face and improve its function.
PROCEDURES:
The procedure consists in enlarging or reducing the size of the nose, lifting the tip of the nose, building cavities, removing the hump, clearing the nasal passages, and correctly positioning the nasal septum.
ANESTHESIA: (usually general.) :
Course of the procedure: The incision is almost invisible after the procedure, is performed in the nasal vestibule, at the base of the nose post or wings. During the procedure, the nose scaffolding is changed (correction of bone, cartilage, turbinates and septum).
After the procedure, the nose is set (filled with a gauze tape) and fixed with a plaster cast.
POST OPERATIVE CARE :
Po około 3 dniach usuwamy setony, po 10 dniach opatrunek gipsowy. Niestety przez cały okres setonowania oddychamy wyłącznie przez usta.
POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS :
Bleeding, hematomas, infections, olfactory disorders, sensory disturbances, unsatisfactory cosmetic effect.
LENGTS OF TIME PATIENT MUST REMAIN AFTER THE PROCEDURE:
Required 1 day of hospitalization, the patient comes out the next day after a medical visit.
TIME NEED FOR RECUPERATION:
After the treatment, the swelling persists for several days, the so-called swelling often appear after the treatment. 'spectacle hematomas' that disappear after 2-3 weeks. Setons are removed after 3 days - plaster dressing after 10-14 days. The healing process takes about 3 months, and the final effect can only be assessed after 6 months. Stabilization takes about 18 months. In the postoperative period, we avoid or significantly limit physical exertion.
PRE-OPEERATIVE PREPARATION:
ENT consultation, and in the case of traumatic noses, X-ray or CT or MRI of the head.
REQUIRED TEST :
- EKG,
- RTG klatki piersiowej,
- Morfologia, grupa krwi,
- INR, APTT – parametry krzepnięcia krwi
- HbS, HCV.
