Change of the shape and dimensions of the nose to make it fit with the other facial features, as well as correction of nose function

The procedure involves making the nose larger, smaller, raising the nose tip, filling in of defects, removing a nose hump, restoration of patency

procedure: the incision is nearly invisible after the procedure, as it is made in the vestibule of the nose, at the base of the nose column or of the nasal wings. During the procedure, the scaffolding of the nose is altered (correction of bone and cartilage elements, nasal concha, nasal septum).
After the procedure, there will be nasal packing in the nostrils, and the nose will be immobilized with a splint.

FThe nasal packing is removed after approximately 1 week, the splint is removed about 10 days post-operatively. Unfortunately, during the entire time that the nasal packing is in place, the patient breathes exlusively through the mouth.

There is swelling for a few days after the procedure, and so-called 'eyeglass bruising' is often seen, but disappears within 2-3 weeks. Nasal packing is removed 7 days post-operatively, while the splint is removed 10-14 days post-operatively. Healing requires about 3 months, and the final effect is seen after 6 months. Physical exertion should be avoiding or severely limited after the operation.

anemia, coagulopathies, vascular hemorrhagic diathesis, infections in the treated area (ex. sinusitis)
